I like some claddies. Bicey quarters, post-1970 JFK halves, Ike dollars, and a few others. The '65 quarters that I find, while some are in very good shape, are not in mint condition so it's unlikely that they will be worth more than face value in my lifetime.

I'd wager that a large percentage of the mintage was inially saved in bags and rolls. A lot of the singled gleaned from circulation were technically Unc as well. While only 30% of the mintage is in circulation it tends to be a different 30% all the time as evidenced by the fact that there are no low grade issues. People grab these out and save them about 15 years and then they get spent again before getting snapped upagain within a few years. Not only is the typical coin in circulation now XF+/ AU but so is the tyical coin people are saving. But it's still not unusual to find Uncs in circulation or coins that were probably very recently Unc. I'd guess there are still millions in BU rolls but most have already been spent just like the 1965 quarters that were saved out. The '65 finally has a substantial premium that will slow or stop more going into circulation. This might never apply to the '76 since people just want to keep these.
