they call it a half guinea which is actually a half soverign. if its 1911 99% its a fake made of gold
thx spock, appreciate the info.. its a 1918, i know its fake for sure cause it was in a jeweler shop... but as i said wanted to know how to recognize if its as a real one... all i can say its around the size of a us dime..
now i will twist it for you jewelers used to sell real sovereigns till the 70's but somewhere things became different. if you post high res pics we can point out. as usal there should be bubbles, strike clarity, and uneven rim issues.
