    From the Seller to us...
    Sent to my EBAY EMAIL..

    Dear latherland222,

Herbivore. I think you need to read some other cointalk threads regarding reasons why people collect coins. One of the 1st sited reasons is the fact that "Coin collectors are attempting to fill a void in their lives, beyond that it is mostly speculative and profit driven." I'm not here to help you fill your psychological void. You all talk about deep rooted mental problems. Your need to discuss coins amongst quasi-professionals is a mental issue. My coin was not an issue on eBay until your forum moved it from cointalk.com to eBay. Separate the two & and again you may find an aswer to your problem. POST IF YOU LIKE. There are far too many CoinTalkers that need to become aware of their miniscule voids.

I guess that is why I do not even bother trying to write to the listers. The couple time I tried it, I got similar responses. Although I must admit they were not quite that bad.

Since this guy has been so personable, I decided to look at the rest of his auctions. He will be losing his 4 1969-S auctions soon (290388372367, 290388336382, 290387602005, & 290377893892). For raw coins, " A dollar value (even if personal opinion) is not included in the title or description." I feel so sorry for the gentleman.

Look out. gmdllrsncnts is watching us. My last post was at 10:58 CST. He started changing his auctions to get rid of the pricing at 10:59:54 AM CST. Sometimes eBay works fast, but never that fast. Next time I will report him and them post the results after they happen.

And all this time I thought we collected coins because we were stuck in the past! And, of course greed - sometimes, when I'm counting the gold, I feel just like Scrooge. :D

So gmdllrsncnts, if you're reading this, tell us the truth, how much did you pay for that 1922 No D?

Allmost all of his feedback is from people he has bought from. Not from folks he's sold to. One guy that neg'd him complained about his refusal to accept pay-pal......

Wouldn't that be something if someone found out the old cooter is actually selling some of these high priced items? Yeah, like maybe he just sold one of his Lincoln rolls for $135,000.00, last month. Nah!! No way, just trying to start some fun!!

I finally decided to read this thread and suffice it to say I have learned a lot.

You'd figure since I actually work in a coin shop I might actually have a clue but apparently not so.

For starters, having never avidly collected Lincoln Cents I had no idea a gem 1963-D was so valuable for instance. I'll have to inform my boss that has been in business for 42 years now of this.
We've been known to toss gems like this in the cash drawer and give them out as change! GASP!!!!

We also have a few BU rolls of 1969-S at the shop. I have checked them with a loupe but can honestly say NOT under an electron microscope. If I talk real nice to my boss I MAY be able to pick these up for under $10,000 per roll.

Armed with this sudden knowledge I should also be able to make a few million bucks for the boss in the next week or so IF I can find the right buyers. Heck, I may even get a million dollar or so bonus!

Now for the seller. Please put me on your blocked list. By forum rules I can not reveal my ebay username in this thread but it's remarkably close to my name here on CT.

I only ask this in case, for instance, an anvil is dropped on my head from the 12th floor of a building, I miraculously survive, and decide to bid on one of your auctions.

I figure I wouldn't have the money after medical bills and we'd end up in a long court battle.

Also for the seller. You know how CT can affect a seller? Well, why is that?

    Pseudo respectfully yours.

    Clembo

So funny and a bit strange too. I don't know everything that happened, but it's really weird that you are blocked and then he's watching our thread. He must have gotten offended and blocked you, but why did he block others? Strange, sounds like an old halloween story :D

Is this thread really under surveilance? Not much movement on it lately, what's up??
