I found another one I put aside long ago not thinking it was anything special. I read recently in RIC vol 3 (p. 65) that countermarks of AVG, AV for example were used for a few reasons on genuine Augustus Imperial coins, in my case I think because it was worn well and so an AV monogram was given as counterstrike to extend the coin’s use. Tomorrow I’ll identify or at least greatly narrow down the attribution because I’m positive I found the reverse in ERIC. In my comparison pic, you can see the double “A” to the left on the reverse in a circling legend. A74FEB79-0BC1-4ADA-98CB-75EC877EAB36.jpeg 069411A7-EF7F-47AE-881F-EC2E7189FA2D.jpeg

any idea on this one? looks imperial but almost foreign to rome, like indo-greek or something. Not sure. 3947388C-6CAB-49BA-A2BF-26181F2EC412.jpeg CC6E7AA4-7B7C-4A06-B10B-65BDDFE9983C.jpeg
