While information is the point, the Parody is what makes it entertaining to read, thus increasing the chances the reader will retain the newly discovered information.

but it only works if ALL parties know it's a parody. has the light bulb gone on yet? stroking your ego is not going to help anyone and the comments thus far prove how valueless the idea is - "what if someone wants to buy it?" so you send out an email stating the reasons - great, you have reached 1 person in Nigeria who is trying to scam you and the CT clique has something funny to talk about.

glad to see you have something productive to add to the thread.

That was intelligent. Did you really just say "neer"? Seems you are ****ed off for some reason or another. May I suggest you check out a different coin forum if you don't seem to like this one.

Geez guys What IS the big deal here?

If you don't like ebay threads or parody auctions or infoauctions then don't read the thread. Hell, I don't read every thread here - do you? I don't collect world coins, for example, so I tend NOT to read those threads. Not really a tough decision.

I have run infoauctions and will most likely do more in the future. It is NOT against ebay rules nor is it against CoinTalk rules to discuss it.

We HAVE actually toned it down a bit here on Moderators' advice. Sound advice at that. However, until we are told it is NOT allowed to post anything about ebay, potential scammers etc. we will continue to do so.

I'm not the "caped crusader" of ebay but can tell you the feedback I have received from ebay members and winning bidders has been VERY positive. It's a personal decision for me to run thiese auctions. So what's the problem?

Nobody is holding a gun to your head to keep posting on this thread you dislike so much. Why dont you use your mouse and click onto another, more enjoyable thread for you, there are many here.......

I kinda like the info/parody auctions.

This is my first post to this thread and may be my last one. After I add my 2 cents I may never look back at this thread. There are so many others recently and in the past, that are worth reading and contributing to.

If you don't like this thread go somewhere else where you'll enjoy yourself. No one is keeping you here.

If your talking parody, I'd call it a BS-72.

LOL. I have been looking for that mythical MS72. I love parody auctions and have even bid on a few. I think what Jack did on Ebay was great. And I now own two plain rolls of wheaties. Good Job - everyone for these type auctions. And please if you do not like ebay threads - don't read them.
