I just wanted to make sure I got this one right.

    Obv: MAV-ANT---. Bare head right.
Rev: NIKOPOL--- Athena standing with shield on side and extended arm.

I believe this is a provincial issue of a young Caracalla from Nikopolis. Am I correct?

I think you are correct. Here is a coin with a similar portrait and obverse legend, perhaps by the same die cutter:
    CaracallaNicopolisCrescent.jpg
Caracalla. 198-217 AD. MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Æ 17mm. Obv: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev: Star and crescent. Varbanov__; HrHJ (2020)8.18.48.6, this coin. The plate coin there-in.
