If anybody can ID this coin I would really appreciate it. It's silver, thin and 24mm in diameter. I've looked quite a bit with no luck so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
I'm afraid I can't be much help, but it did look like it was Danish because of the crown or Austrian because of the bird on the back. http://www.catawiki.com/catalog/coi...ark-1-krone-1651-clockwise-dominvs-providebit http://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/bea...hall_mint__km_829_variant/318883/Default.aspx Do me a favor, try to read the letters around the rims and type them in here as best as you think you can see them.
Thanks for the reply. Here's some photos of the lettering around the edges so maybe you can figure it out. Regards, Mike.
Dang it, you gentlemen beat me to it, but well done! The bird on the back did look like Poland's eagle (which to me, looks like a chicken, but that's neither here nor there)
I appreciate everybody's efforts in identifying this coin. I'll now put in a holder marked as to what it is. Thanks, Mike.
