Maybe they did not have the time, inclination or need to sell them to a coin dealer, through eBay or place an ad on craigslist. Whatever the case, you are not only judging GG but the teller, the bank AND the depositor.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: black">The ultimate decision to deposit those coins lay squarely on the shoulders of the depositor. It is not the job of the teller to open those rolls, inspect each coin and counsel depositors on what they are worth. NOT THEIR JOB. They are there to accept and disperse American currency. </span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="color: black">Unless you where there when they rolled the coins, walked them to the bank, stood in line and stepped up to teller window to make the deposit, they are accountable. YES, we all know you would have never done that. You would have taken them to the local coin dealer and got them the most money possible for their coins.
