My next "Coins - As Seen on TV!" write-up happens to be The Coin Vault. Sometime in December. When it comes to Coin TV, they are respectable and if you know your coins, there are good buys to be found on TCV. The key is knowing your coins. But I'm betting that anyone seriously "shopping" on any Coin TV Show/Network, doesn't. That's where things go bad for the buyer. If you do, there are some Gems to be found, albeit very rarely. I have been a TCV customer for several years, although not very often. I also buy from a number of online retailers and auction houses like Heritage and Stacks. In regards to eBay prices, you will not find any eBay prices on TCV and Coin TV in general. I am also a seller, and margins are pretty thin on eBay. They (Coin TV) can't compete with eBay sellers, and when they try, they can be very deceitful. See my write-up on Rick Tomaska's RCTV, I published on CoinTalk earlier in the year. RCTV is the worst abuser of eBay comparisons IMO. The newer and aged collectors are the target and ultimately are the losers in the deal...and by a wide margin. That's what really ticks me off! And they are the victims. As I mentioned, I will go into more detail regarding The Coin Vault in my next write-up. I analyze and grade such things as Value, Entertainment, Presentation, Customer Service, Delivery Time, Honesty, and On-Air personalities. Again, look for it in the Coin Chat Forum in December!
