Whoever told you that was incorrect.
What you see on the date is not a Doubled Die issue. All looks flat and shelflike which is from Mechanical Doubling. Nothing to do with a true Doubled Die.

    This is the big one..

Look at LIBERTY and IN GOD and you will see clear Doubling!

No there's no shelf like it has all the dime markers depending on which way you turn it will depend on which way it looks is double strike

Yes it is flat and shelflike.. Everyone else has already told you it's not a Doubled Die!

A true Doubled Die is not a double strike.. Do you anderstand what a Doubled Die is?
Not 2 strikes.. But 1 strike with a Die that was doubled.

Because they're usually unintentional anomalies present on the die simply used as diagnostics. Stop worrying about the meaningless and simply focus on the obvious. Markers come second and aside from authentication purposes, simply do not mean squat here.

Just because it’s a 1969 S does not make it a doubles die.

Just because it may have some markers does not make it a doubled due.

A die that has shifted/doubled images makes it a doubled die. That is the FIRST indicator of a DD.

Go back to the joker who misidentified your coin. Ask him to make an offer on it. Accept the offer and sleep well.
