For some reason the machine wasn&#039;t taking one of my halves. I printed off my receipt and took it to the teller, along w/the coin that wouldn&#039;t go. After looking at it for a little while, she said it was fake. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>She took a real half and banged it on the desk, then took the fake and banged it on the desk, sounded just like plastic. I asked her if I could keep the fake, and she said I could. So, right now I have a 1972-D half dollar that looks real, except for the fact that when you bang it on something it sounds plastic. I&#039;ll post pics tomorrow. I thought it was pretty cool because it was the first one that I&#039;d found, do you guys know of what it might be worth.
