    I was thinking Gorrilla glue the whole thing and then rip the band aid off in 30 years.:D

    As mentioned, acetone should do the trick, without messing up the original brown color.

    My nickel from my birth-year proof set has a couple of spots of glue on it. (See IN GOD.) It may even be from the original packaging, for all I know. I would be terrified to try to take it off and leave an unsightly bright spot.
