<p>[QUOTE=&quot;ToughCOINS, post: 3355821, member: 20480&quot;]New incident with the same interfering eBay member . . . </p><p><br /></p><p>Between the origination of this thread and today there have been several other instances where this eBay member crossed my path, but none quite so aggravating as what took place last night.</p><p><br /></p><p>I found a coin I wanted in auction format with the Make an Offer option.&nbsp; I made an offer, the seller accepted, I paid via PayPal, and the listing closed . . . this was in the afternoon.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Before going to bed I checked for the tracking number, and it wasn&#039;t uploaded, so I messaged the seller, asking that it be uploaded when shipped. </p><p><br /></p><p>Arising the next morning, I found no tracking number, and had a nagging sense that the same kind of interference I&#039;ve experienced in the past had taken place again.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>I searched sold items, and sure enough, the coin I&#039;d bought had sold twice.&nbsp; First to me in the afternoon, and then again in the wee morning hours the next day.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Looking at the masked buyer&#039;s eBay ID, it was exactly the same buyer I&#039;ve complained about above.&nbsp; Evidently, he checks items sold and tries to intercept delivery by contacting sellers with higher offers on targeted coins.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Fed up, I contacted the seller, informed him that I&#039;d already made hard copies and pdf files of the coin photos, and expected that coin to show up in my mail.&nbsp; He promptly canceled the second sale to the &quot;interfering one&quot;, and shipped the coin out to me.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ve since spent considerable time on the phone with eBay outlining my history with this single interfering member, and finally got them to state that they will address the matter.&nbsp; Time will tell whether this was just lip service, or an assurance in earnest.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ll be sure to let folks here know if this interference persists . . . that would mean the eBay assurance was mere lip service, and validates the suspicions of so many that eBay cares only about themselves, and not about their customers.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
