Last couple of days have been quite fruitful methinks.

First I won an MS62 Australian 1862 Sydney Mint sovereign which is very scarce and shares the top spot with 8 others at NGC and PCGS:)

Then I was looking at this Edward VII 5 pound (quintuple sovereign) 1902 in AU50 grade. Realised that out of the 35,000 original mintage numbers, 27,000 had been melted, leaving only 8,000 surviving examples, so not a bad one to be had

And finally the 1892 Single Shaft South African Pond I had been patiently waiting for. Considered to be rare and very collectible, in AU53 and much rarer than the double shaft pond I acquired earlier……..not bad for a day’s work :shame:;)

Very nice. But that is a 1862, not 1962. :)
