I think I have a RPM

    Mid 1982 they started minting Copper Plated Zinc Cents. Lools like you have one with a plating issue on the mint mark
    Not a RPM and worth 1 CENT

    By the looks of your pics I can tell that your Cent was struck with a Deteriorated Die. So the mint mark would have that deteriorated look to it also.

    Nope! Better pics won't change the fact that this is not an RPM. Like @paddyman98 said, it is probably a plating issue. (Which is very common on Zincolns!) Also, note that you can see the parallel striations around the date which are indicative of die deterioration.

    Good info! I was going to ask about this on a hand full of pennies I have found. Now I don't need to and will put them back into circulation.

    Typically marks like that are from either a counting machine or a rolling machine. In other words, it's common post mint damage, nothing more.

    This isn’t an error. It happened after the mint and was caused by a coin rolling/wrapping machine.
