I think i found a 1992 close AM penny.... Can someone help please?

I am new to coin collecting so i might be wrong, but can someone else give their expertise on this. i will upload pics . thanks

From everything that I have read, if there is a space between the a and the m then it is a wide am

I’d wait for someone else to reply also but yes I believe it looks like a wide am

 

I'm like 99% sure based on that picture you have a wide AM there. It probably took a hit in the area which caused the slightly different look you're talking about.

Yes. I 1000000% recommend you get yourself a nice loupe. 10x is all you need, it is really awesome. Just like a little magnifying glass you can get and have a lanyard around your neck with it on. It will make error and variety hunting a lot easier on your eyes and patience. Many people, including me, say it is necessary to own one. They aren't too expensive either, many hobby stores and most coin stores supply them. Heck, you can probably get one off Amazon.
