Looky here Check this out: In medieval Europe, alchemists mixed powdered gold into drinks to "comfort sore limbs," one of the earliest references to arthritis. Gold's power to relieve the pain of arthritis passed down through the centuries. Its mysterious efficacy has been confirmed by modern medical research. Today it is widely used in combination with other compounds in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. edited Copyright ©1996 The Gold Institute, Washington DC ,U.S.A. Silver is known to kill bacteria. People use to put a silver coin in milk bottles to preserve the milk. Silver must be broken down to a very small level fro your body to absorb it. The blue man took to much, OD, and as a result it turned his skin blue. I find it interesting that silver is a weapon in fighting evil, werewolf's, vampires. If you want some interesting read do a search on the health benefits of silver. Allen
There is no big deal. The whole post is on the sarcastic side. I was actually pretty excited to eat a piece of gold for the first time. Not something I imagine I'll be doing again soon since I don't normally eat at such expensive places. Quick side story, my parents gave me a small shooter of Goldschlagger when I was a kid (maybe 10 or so). I think they knew I would never drink it since I collected gems and minerals at the time, and I was FAR more fascinated with the gold than the alcohol that surrounded it, hehe.
