I have no idea where a person lives from their recorded information such as in the avatar region. The unemployment rate actually dipped below 25% in this county for the first time since 08. I realize that such may be in innocent chatter, but consider limiting such comments in posts for a while unless the poster brings the subject into the thread. Thanks, IMO.

Were does the term "shill" or "shilling" in regards to auctions come from?

The seller that gave the feedback was obviously paid to do that

You're probably better off not winning that coin. I mean, how can you tell anything from those pics? Bad pics usually represent a misrepresented coin.

It appears to come from the term Shillaber which meant the confederates of a carny or con man and their job was to act as a lure to get others to participate in the game.

Atleast it only few dollars i have seen shills bump up coins couple thousands and they prey on mainly snipers.

There is plenty of sellers especially foreign who follow the practice i have reported them multiple times but ebay can't do much since it can't suspend people on a hunch. These guys are pretty smart to cover up their tracks.

Added: They use use ip spoofing, use different address/location and even put low bids on other items with shill accounts to reduce the bid activity.

I think this whole post may be a shill then.
