I recently bought my first coin from Syracuse, a humble AE Litra of Hieron II

That's an attractive one! Zeus abounds on Greek coins, an impressive Poseidon is hard to find.

I don't have this one. But I've got some of his types with Kore AKA Persephone and butting bulls.

Unless I'm mistaken, Hieron's coins of this type can be distinguished by the "IE" (abbreviating Hieron, I assume). (Similar types were struck for several successive reigns.)

This pair are of the same type (club & N above, IE below), but I the differences in the obverse style interesting. (Seems like I can see a bit of undertype on the top obv, at 9h?) Ex collections Clain-Stefanelli (17mm, 3.98g) & Richard Baker (17.5mm, 4.88g):

I have this Hemilitron. It is mounted on a pin, so I can't measure it; it can be easily removed, but as it was a Christmas present from my father many years ago, I just leave it as he gave it to me, for remembrance.

Sicily, Syracuse, Struck circa 274-265 BC
Calciati II, 191 DS 89 R1 8; SNG Morcom 809; SNG ANS 593 var. (letter below club); BAR issue 53; Sear 1218

Ob.: ΣΥΡAKOΣIΩN Head of Kore-Persephone to l., wreathed with grain (usually it says corn, but I think that the Greeks didn't have corn at that time?), wearing earring and necklace, poppy head behind head
Rev.: bull butting left, club over Θ above, IE in exergue.
