Did you ever read Ron Sirna's grading system for toned coins? This type of coin is an A- or B+ coin depending on the customer. Personally, I prefer more defined color patterns with incredible luster and will sacrifice surface preservation on my Morgan Dollars. Your coin would better suit the collector who wants a balance of color and surface preservation.

When I saw this coin on the NGC forum, I immediately thought, you sold it for 5X wholesale/bid. I was close. I agree that this is a $200-$250 coin even though I personally would not buy it.

It may be helpful to post a $2,000 rainbow toned common date Morgan so everyone has a better understanding of your point. I have never been able to pull the trigger past 25X wholesale myself. Here is an example of a Battle Creek MS65* Morgan Dollar that sold on the Island website for almost $5,000 (almost 40X wholesale).

I am not familiar with Ron's system. But I am under the impression that you know your stuff when it comes to "toners".
