I need help on a numismatic speech I am giving

    I always raise eyebrows when I talk about coins when i mention 1913 V or 43 copper cents and the gazillions they are worth. If you start in about die state errors and yammer on about it too long, you'll find the audience losing interest rather quickly.

    He was a deaf mute named Josh Tatum. @Oldhoopster has the story correct. Very interesting. Should be a great subject. The 1883 coin being minted with "no cents" just the Roman numeral "V". A deaf mute taking advantage of his condition and the coin itself. Prosecuted but acquitted as he never stated it was a five Dollar gold coin. It was deemed to be the mistake of the retailer.
