    Thank you very much. I looked in SC of World coins 1801-1900 and really got confused with the Indian Princely States and British India.

    Is that a monkey with the scales and are the other two lions with monkey heads?

    Yes I think they are monkeys. I think the comment is the British rule was like being ruled by monkeys. The one with the scales looks like he is having a cr*p, suggesting either that British justice was cr*p or he was dealing out the cr*p equally!

    The other link is that one of the Hindu Gods takes the form of a Monkey - Hanuman I believe.
     
  10. I don't believe those are monkey heads. I may be wrong but are they the head of William IV king of England in 1834?
