A True Friend!! Biged, I'm certain I speak for many on this site in stating that you've truly been a friend, doing Yeomans duty. Your efforts have definitely been beyond the call of duty, and with admirable patience. I commend you, and would welcome you as an assistant at any time. I perform pro bono efforts as an ombudsman for similarly deficient/naive/uninformed local residents. Often those needing assistance are elderly not wanting to admit their limitations, delving into situations beyond their control, not understanding the ramifications of their actions. Although I act in a "victims" behalf, I must inform them of my understanding, and have them sign an agreement of the written understanding, permission for representation. I will occasionally contact the individual who has been represented as violating my "associates" due rights. I will identify myself as an Ombudsman, with the associate present to verbally provide acknowledgement/permission for my representation, having the associate identify themselves, provide only name and permission for my intercession. I will state my understanding, and beliefs for due reconciliation, asking for cooperation or a counter. I always try to maintain an atmosphere of respect and acknowledgement of possible misunderstanding. If there isn't a "meeting of minds", the communications will be politely terminated. A secondary subsequent similar call to the Attorney Generals office may result in the "perpetrator" being contacted. The Attorney Generals office may request a formal filing, where a form will be sent to the associate for their filing of a request for action consideration. If desired, I often will assist in completing the document to be filed as a "complaint". The associate is notified that my efforts have been completed. These steps often result in a satisfactory outcome, regardless of whether anything further is accomplished, as many just want someone to listen, possibly advise, and maybe minimally intercede. I suspect that this situation maybe likewise. JMHO Thanks for your patience and sharing. :thumb:
