I have looked on ebay for one to compare it to for years, and today&nbsp; out of now way i find this .lol</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>This copper halfpenny token was struck in Great Britain for use in Canada.&nbsp; It can be found in Withers’ British Copper Tokens 1811-1820 under reference Non-Local 1712, where it is noted as rare.&nbsp; According to Withers’ these tokens were in fact overstruck on Bristol Patent Sheathing Nail Manufactory halfpenny tokens.&nbsp;&nbsp; They were then imported by a Boston merchant who settled in Montreal in 1813.</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br /></p><p>The token’s obverse bears a spread eagle holding four arrows in its right claw and an olive branch in its left.&nbsp; The divided date 1814 appears on either side of its tail. The legend reads “HALFPENNY TOKEN”.</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br /></p><p>The reverse bears a seated Britannia holding an olive branch in her right hand and a trident in her left.&nbsp; The design is contained within an oak wreath.</p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br /></p><p>The edge of the token is centre grained thus /////.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
