Found 2 more boxes. The label on one of the boxes is cool. Back when the Federal Reserve sent coins to the banks. Still looking for rest of the boxes.
Larry, that hoard looks exciting! I'm envious of the work you have ahead of yourself. And that's not something I say easily about work these days. Again, can't wait for the final reveal.
I am of the age that I will put things away and forget about them, but gee-whiz Larry, how could you have "over looked" these goodies? I'm still fighting the urge to NOT rip open some rolls from the mint, and search for varieties and errors. But sure to keep us posted on what you do with them, and what you find.
Hmm. Now, what are you doing with all the Pennies? Looking for errors/ Varieties? Just wondering because I, like others, only collect "wheaties". Anyways, good luck in whatever you do!
Is it really worth the time to search for RPMs? It would be fun but I don't think they are worth much. I may search some of the rolls for cool toning or gems in 66 or 67 but I don't feel they will be worth enough to cover the grading fees. Not sure I will ever have the time to search everything. Even trying to sell the rolls would be a long hard process.
It really all depends on the condition of the coin. Most RPMs are worth a couple of bucks in circ condition. If MS then they can easily go $10-$20 or above depending on the FS number.
Larry - hope you do a YouTube video on your cursory coin roll search. If you do, post the link! You have us intrigued. Good luck with the coin roll hunting! Wish I lived closer to your neck of the woods (Oklahoma, right?) -- I'd pay you a fair price for the rolls and take them off your hands. I'm in the San Antonio area.
Hello lchair, I just noticed some rolls in this pic have a red mark & others do not. Do you know the reason? J.T.
