You got the price right. I have checked and found no one familiar with the ordering process. I am trying to educate a couple of them. Also, I believe you are NOT guaranteed to get all 2009's, you could get a mix of years.

"an order for new rolls "

That is a new one on me. I have been getting rolls at banks for years and it has been hit or miss, the only rolls they can order are state quarter rolls (at least that is what I have been told by between 20 to 30 banks). If that works let us know how it is done.

I do recall Cladking mentioning a long time ago that rolls are first produced first out, meaning that 2009 nickels and dimes may not see the light of day for a couple of years (since there is very low demand for those coins right now).

    Well.....

Here is one of 6 that I have plucked from circulation.

Shall I put it on Ebay as an experiment? I could call it AU I believe. Whatdya think, will it get bid up?

You don't have to give it any grade. Just put it up with a BIN of $2995, or OBO.

    $2995?

    Heck, I'd even take $1995......lol

2009 dime and nickel could become the largest volume of rolls hoarded by the collectors, bankers, insiders and institutions. thus i see the future for these coins is nothing but face value.

Ironic, that is the number I first typed. The first box of formative year pennys went for $1699, and that box was first available two weeks AFTER over 250,000 of the same pennys were sold in mint boxes by the mint. Plus everybody knew those penny boxes would hit the market within a day, which is what happened. Therefore $2,900.

    OK.....

The experiment is on. I just put it up on Ebay with a starting bid of 10 cents and $1 shipping to cover all of those dang fees. I set it for 3 days. I'll let you know what happens. I personally don't think it will bring much, but after reading all of Tmoney's posts how he would do it, and the rest of you, I thought it would be a fun experiment. And, if it gets $10 or something crazy, I have 5 more.....

    :)

I just checked eBay, your auction is the only one I could find that was for the 09' Business strike, not proof. LOL you should have listed it as THE ONLY ONE ON EBAY MUST SEE L@@K !!

I may do that on the next one if this one sells well Raider. Great idea. I need help in my marketing skills I guess, lol.

Hey, since it's the only one, why don't you go bid? (evil laugh)

I would but, unfortunately me and a few other members have all are money invested in the marketing of our "rare" Puerto Rico quarters :goofer:. Just checked though there is already one bid on it.

I'm cracking up here. There are now 2 bids in less than an hour with the bid up to 25 cents. So with shipping, that is $1.25 for my dime.

    LOL.

I'm sorry, but I'm finding this quite funny.

Yeah, you'll laugh all the way to the bank when you got a ton of money for it...
I'd like to know, what it sells for

Thing is most people don't search 2009 dime, on a daily basis, I would have dealt out some extra cash on advertising...
Get your item at the top, attract more buyers.

Well, Tmoney, if this one sells well, I may have to do that get-your-piece-at-the-top thing. Of course, I don't know how to do it, but I'm sure ebay will help me.

Hopefully, I'll get a lot of traffice because I have a P&D mint set of the LP2 up and I'm hoping a lot of people look at other items up for bid by the same seller.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted on our little experiment here.

Shall we guess at the final price?

Everyone get in, just for fun. I say $1.75.

If it sells at $1.75, I'd be shocked, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A KEY DATE...(CHUCKLE)
