    Well I do love a midnight blue sky, but what you are missing is not in that sky (hint-hint).

    OK, OK Hold on to your hats. What is missing from the midnight sky. Thats right, STARS. This coin is graded, well look for yourself. UNBELIEVABLE!

    If I don't see this coin in person, I can't really disparage NGC's decision to give it a star. I think it is a win-win. Either I will own the ugliest star designated coin in the world or Heritage's photos are soooo bad that I will pick up a star coin for what should turn out to be a bargain.

    In this case, happiness = satisfying my curiosity. Whether the coin is nice or not is completely secondary and unimportant.

    I'd be willing to wager that the coin is beautiful in-hand.

    I know this is a family-friendly forum, so I hope my comments are not out of line, but...

    I think i know;
    in order to get a star all three graders must agree, then it passes a final inspection in QA. If even one person disagrees, it gets no star.
    Maybe one gave it a star as a joke, then the next followed suit, then the final grader just couldn't resist. In Quality Assurance the guy laughed so hard he forgot to remove the star designation...
    Voila... an accidental star :)
