To tell you the truth I'm not ever sure. I got emotionally wrapped up in to the bidding and I was the last bidder. That's all I know :laughing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wow you are definitely a lover of the Fugio. I tried to ask what variety was mine and he didn't know. With your experience can you tell? If so do you think I got a good deal? Yours are beautiful I must say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hey Dimedude I swear I look at it every night. Just the history you know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am jealous and feel unworthy. Any advice on finding a nice Fugio? I wound want it certified and not the New Haven variety
@Dimedude2 - Read this: https://coins.nd.edu/ColCoin/ColCoinText/Fugio.3.html It goes into how to spot a restrike. As far as how to find one, ebay always has some, as well as other auction sites. If you have a LCS, tell the dealer you're looking for one, and he can probably find one in your budget.
If you find one you are interested, post some pics here ... I am always happy to give a thumbs up or thumbs down ;-)
Sigh... Any Fugio that doesn't look like it was ran over by a train is too expensive for me. I actually buy a lot of low grade coins, if they are scarce, but even I have to draw the line at some point. Maybe I'll hit an unpassable deal at some point, though.
What would be you Max bid on this one? Description given "This is a very interesting Fugio Cent. It is the one with the cinquefoil after the date and raised rim on the reverse. It is also the one that says States United on the reverse. All wording is readable. The circles on the reverse are a bit off center during the manufacture. The sun has particularly nice rays in groups rounded at the ends. This coin is part of my father's collection of monies given to me prior to his passing in 1990. I have to downsize myself now and will be selling items here. If you win this coin and are not happy when you see it, please email through ebay for a full refund plus postage given in a friendly manner. The coin will be shipped in a padded envelope via First Class mail. Inside it will be in a folded business envelope and inside a cardboard folder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pass ... looks harshly cleaned. Buy yourself something with great eye appeal for the grade, certified by PCGS. That way, when you want to upgrade it, it will be easier to sell. Also, you know that you aren't getting some whizzed and scrubbed problem coin ;-) What is your budget?
$1200 Max also looking for 178-1799 silver dollar. These are my 2 favorite coins. Great advice Fletcher. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, you can get an absolutely awesome Fugio for $1,200 right now. Be patient, keep checking ebay, heritage, dealer sites, etc. Also, although CAC doesn't put their sticker on Fugios any more, they used to and the stickered coins tend to be keepers. I would rather have an awesome problem free VF with great eye appeal over an average AU any day of the week. Just keep your eyes open and beat me to the buy button ;-)
lol I'm gonna try Fletcher. Fletcher any opinion on the starter one I bought. Opinion one what variety and the deal I got it for? Any opinion would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It is hard to tell from your pics, but it looks like a 19 SS R.5. The book says it is probably always medal turned ... is yours? ;-)
