Yep, I did it. Finally decided to join the ANA. I'll say initially, I was hesitant. Not sure how much of a value it would be for me. However, I wanted to expand a little on my numismatic knowledge base, and I have to say, overall in the last month I am pleased. I enjoy having the Numismatist online for my viewing, but look forward to having my tangible copy. I know, at 38, I should enjoy more tech saviness for magazine material, but it is just difficult for me to read it without having it in my hand. Other things like the Reading Room Exclusives and News and Notes are nice just as a time waster...good to have a good 3-5 minute read for waiting rooms or when the wife watches her shows. I really like the format of the ANA Coin Press Blog. That writing style is more informal and I like the topics they reach toward.

I want to explore how the library lending program works. I would love to get my hands on a couple of older Cherry Picker's Guides or even series guides that are just a little pricey on Amazon, but not sure how to look them up yet or how to get the lending started. I know they have some educational video series, podcasts and seminars and want to try those in the year to come as well.

As for the website, I am pleasantly surprised how easy it is to navigate. I look forward to seeing the benefit and hopefully grow, if not a tad, in my hobby knowledge in the next year. Feel free to suggest items to look into or what to avoid in the comments below. Thanks for looking!
