    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

    Why? Please explain.

Well, I verified the number on the $50 eagle and it is legit, however I don't think the seller is......

Not an idiot... just a seller of fake coins in fake slabs. And he is one of only thousands... in my estimation, there are more fake NGC slabs on the market than genuine.

    Most fakes have legitimate numbers.

If you google the seller "liaoqingoing" you'll see that everything they sell is fake. Gold rings for $2 each etc..

Another reason why the commonly accepted method of if its slabbed its good is faulty.

Gotta learn about the coins you like and when in doubt research research research. Regardless of if its slabbed or not.

They have 77,991 facebook followers, so I am sure quite a few have fallen for this all ready!

I sent Scott Schechter of NGC a link to these listings. It will be interesting to learn if they are, in fact, fakes or if the seller is just stealing someone's photos.

I suspected the same thing. I think this happens a lot. The coins look real because it's pics of the real thing. What gets sent to you likely will be drastically different.
