Please give your thoughts on this coin. It is a 1942 but im thonking im seeing a 3 over the 2. I searched it and unless im really dumb this is unheard of.. Is it a 1942/3? I cant get any better pics. Thanks all!
I find one interesting thing about overdates is that in years when it was done on one denomination, it often occurs on others. I've been looking for an 1918/7 dime for forty years.
There are some funky overdates out there due to dates being hand punched. E.g. 1920/10 Belgium 5 centimes. There is one that's 18xx/13xx, but I can't remember which coin it is.
In the first photo the 2 appears to be a 3 but that's due to the light reflecting off of the rim. In the second photo, it's clearly a 2 and nothing else.
