I came across an ad in Investment Business Daily News for a FREE "Good Luck" Franklin Half Dollar with Ted Butler's Silver Unleashed investment kit. I called the ad, and 5 weeks later the Franklin showed up. 1957 plain. It is DEFINITELY circulated (G-6/8 grade), but it is a real, 90% silver half dollar. I have not received ANY harassing calls or junk mail. Just a monthly news letter. I have heard about a FREE Mercury dime ad, but have not come across that yet. Maybe that one works as well? Anyone else see or respond to this ad?
I also have not had any hassels. I read the packet material and found it very interesting. Obviously this guy is trying to sell silver, but also makes some good points. When I got the half, I almost expected it to be fake. It appears real. It SOUNDS like silver, looks like silver, and I figure if this company was going to be sending out counterfeit halves they would seriously be jeaprodising their freedom. Sadly I do not have a scale to weight it with, to verify that it is 12.5 grams, or close (due to wear.) but like I said I am 99.9% sure it is a real half dollar. To anyone else who enjoys silver at little to no cost, just google "Free silver coin" or something similar. That is how I came across Investment Buisness Daily News, and subsequently the ad. What made me want to google that? There is an ad at the top of the Cointalk.com web site that says "Free 1964 silver half dollar." from time to time.
Glad to hear the free coin arrived and that it wasn't a scam. Dave Morgan of the the "Morgan Report" speaks highly of Ted Butler
