Many possibilities. What country? I will go with a 2014 US dime and a 1875 US liberty seated 20 cent coin. What did I win? This is a contest, right.

California fractional gold BG-224 over struck with a two cent piece and a type two silver three cent piece? Seems plausible.

I was originally going with just half dime/quarter and 20 cent/dime but I'm getting a lot of answers. Wow, we're being creative here.

My first thought was an 1876 20¢ and an 1876 dime. However, someone already guessed that. The original answer to this riddle was a quarter and a nickel, as ONE was not a nickel. Yet the other one was.

the one that is not a nickel is a quarter. The other is a nickel. This one is somewhat old Since you did not say BOTH are not nickles, you have a quarter and a nickle total=30 cents.
