It seems that I have answered my own question. The use of the reverse die as the hammer die was first recorded in 1992, but not by the mint. It was evidenced in an error on a quarter for that year.
It is not off center as Hoopster explains because BOTH sides are not misaligned. It's true the obverse is a little more misaligned than is usually seen. $1 - $2 max.
Sorry if I confused anyone but I meant the obverse is off. Still not up to thinking clearly. Due to the virus his family is just having a graveside family only service today.
OK, but remember, a newbie showed up with an actual legit error!!!! That itself is pretty rare and worth a couple likes. Owen - it's definitely more cool than valuable, but it's quite cool! Nice find.
