Thank you for your honesty. I considered the possibility of AT myself. Looking at the coin closely, though, and being very familiar with many methods of artificially toning coins, I cannot think of a way to reproduce this pattern.

It does not appear to be painted on, as under magnification the colors intermingle in a normal fashion.

There is a very slight blue, very much fainter than that seen on the right-hand side of the obverse, that covers the entire obverse. I considered that a chemical spray could have been applied, but the splashes of color don't look like anything that could be sprayed.

It doesn't look like it was gassed either.

The coin just doesn't have the overall appearance of being baked.

So, given all of the above, in combination with the very natural-appearing toning of the reverse, I am calling it "natural" toning.

I'm willing to entertain opposing viewpoints, though. It's not like I'm out much cash if it's proven to be AT. I despise most AT coins, especially ones in top-tier plastic.
