I have a chance to buy some old paper money that was laminated and wanted to know...

    If anyone here knows how to remove laminate from paper?

    It depends on whether the laminate was the type surfaced with glue.

    Removing that kind without damaging the paper is extremely difficult, if not impossible.

    The type that just uses heat to seal the edges can be easily removed by heating with a hair dryer, and pulling it apart when the surface bubbles. (Use the low heat setting!)

    If you can describe the notes or provide a image it may or may not be worth the effort.
    As said..if you do not know what you are doing to remove the laminate..you will for certain ruin the notes!

    It depends on the notes themselves. If it's rare enough, it might still be very valuable even though it's laminated.

    Personally, I would leave it laminated and price it accordingly assuming that the laminate will eventually turn yellow.
