They said they won&#039;t refund the money, but can get the card signed, if I want. I accepted that (more so to see if anyone would _really_ sign it), and the worker started saying &quot;Really? He expects us to send that back to California just for a stupid signature?&quot; as I walked out. Mind you, the one that made the comment told me when I went to the counter for help &quot;You know we&#039;re about to close for lunch.&quot; at 11:52. They &quot;close for lunch&quot; from 12pm - 1pm. It&#039;s bad enough that the postal employees are unionized. It&#039;s worse in a pro-union state where union employees &quot;retire&quot; from one union job to work in another... You know, to offset their expenses in retirement.</p><p><br /></p><p>For the most part, the postal system works well. I think I&#039;ve had eight packages lost in the last decade and maybe three dozen with &quot;sorry we shredded your package&quot; stickers.
