Save your money sis Hold onto To it and check some of the newer quarters. They are loaded with those type of marks. I would love to give you a (it’s maybe something). But honestly I can’t. Good luck with future coin searching
Please ask your best friends dad to explain exactly how this striking error occurs. I would be interested to hear his explanation.
You know that janitorial staff and landscape workers are prohibited from revealing mint manufacturing processes . . . . Z
what if that was hit by a nickel ? or not even a coin ... a screwdriver tip or some sort ? remember, coin damage can be from many things not coins. If you drop a coin in a parking lot to you automatically assume any scratches are done by other coins ??
if you take a close look at this remember, dies have smooth surfaces. look around the edge of that damage, it's raised. that won't come from minting. the metal was gouged which also raised the metal around the area.
I agree with you but alot of them has been showing up but then again quality control has taken a dive
Yes, people who don't know any better. Just peruse etsy and you'll see ... of course, when in doubt send it to a TPG. once a coin leaves the Mint a Billion, god-zillion things can happen to it. During the minting process a limited amount of things can happen. People tend to think only a dozen-ish things can happen after it leaves the mint.
Buy It Quick . . . ! It is sure to triple in value before the end of the year. Make them an offer at 2x list price! Hurry before I do . . . . . .
I AGREE but when all the marks start looking the same then I pay attention but if the marks were round and square and altogether different I wouldn't be suspicious
just remember, your experiment is probably not the "exact" action that happened to that coin. The only way to know is to have a pinhead lifelong camera/audio systems on each and every coin to track it.
