From a roll of 1964 halves I bought. I would like to have them graded. Is this a smart move? Being new to this, I'm not sure. I have a local coin dealer, but didnt get them from him, I actually bought them from the guy on TV...yeah Jimmy whateverhisnameis. So I spent too much to begin with, at least I learned that quick. I'm hoping these 2 coins can help make up for the extra $$ I paid for them. I want to sell them, but want to be sure what they are worth. The coins are spectacular. Any advice?
I don't think there is any AH Kennedy's that are from Circulation...I believe they were only Proofs.. could be wrong, but I haven't seen one. stainless
If you are able, I recommend you post some pics of the coins. That way we can look at them and some of the members here might be able to give you an idea where they will grade and if it is worth sending them in...and if so, to which grading service.
They would need to grade PR-65 or better to be worth the cost to have them graded. A PR-63 CAM or better would probably work as well. With that said, I can't see these grades coming from a roll of proofs. Sure it's possible but it takes very few marks on a proof to kill the grade. Post some pics if possible and welcome to the forum.
coin hunter I took a chance old jimmy about 3 years ago. I got 1960-1970 Proof set I payed about $149.00 with shipping it was one of his 1st shows But I got a PR-65 cameo small date grade by NGC and all the Kennedy I have in picture galley and coin from Jimmy G coin hunter. but the green label PCGS 1969-S PR-67 Cameo is not from the coin hunt. but PR-67 Ultra Cameo 1969-S is I have pay for coin from the since but his 1st year he was dirt cheap on Proof set then
I'll try to get a couple photos of them. The coins are really nice IMO, they look as good as the ones posted.
Nice looking coin. I think I'm gonna get that hair cut. That is a pretty goof grade on a '64 Kennedy. Ruben
