Just use a wire brush, it's faster.
I always do. Finish up with a 4000 grit wet-sanding to restore that original mint luster.
Well, use a hand brush, my gosh it's not like I suggested using a drill brush.
One reason I started researching fake Peace Dollars was so that I can (hopefully) recognize them just by pictures. So I'm curious on the fake one(s) that you have and if they have the fake identifiers that I'm aware of.

I'd rather install and configure new backup software than spend time photographing coins. HOW DO YOU GUYS TOLERATE IT??? And I just got a new low-power microscope to make it easier too. It's STILL one of the least enjoyable things about coins, AFAIAC.
