It is funny, and I have had similar things happen to me, the trick is to not let the little things get you down, and to remember that everything is a little thing in the grand scheme of things. You know, now that you have posted that canadian cents get your goat, you are going to get them every time you get change, you might as well buy an album and start collecting.... Send me a PM with your addy and I will send you a bunch of my doubles to help you get started.
Aye, it is bad form! It is fine to say that some Americans can be ignorant reflecting poorly on the Country, But tell me of any Country with no ignorant people that at times reflect poorly upon their respective countries? As a U.S. Veteran I am deeply offended that you would declare a person at any time as a handicap solely based on them being American and not based on their actions. Unlike you, I will not hold your ignorance against the rest of your fellow Countrymen and will continue to fully respect Canadians and choose only to lose respect for you for your statement!
I like the C coins, they have become an off-shoot collection for me because I get so many of them. I have no one to take them back to, so I might as well hang on to them, let the kids deal with em after I'm gone. This weekend I found a pretty beat up 2001 Coin (I think) from The Republic of Panama. I am not sure it's a coin because there is no value stamped on it. I'll post a pic tomorrow. Be far warned though, I cleaned it. YES, YES I know, never ever clean-em. But once my spit indicated is was a newer coin I went ahead and gave it the comet cleanser dump which resulted in a pretty shinny coin. I used my daughters power toothbrush (un be known to her), worked out pretty good.
Canadian Coins Being from NE Ohio originally - seeing Canadian coins in change was very common. I have a small collection of Canadian silver that I got from my parents. I would never sell them. Its funny - growing upI knew Canada was a "foreign" country but it never felt that way when I visited.
I'm sure it wasn't meant this way. I know I didn't mean it that way. You have to agree that in a geography quiz, for instance, being American is a sort of handicap. You and I might know it but even the anchormen ibn this country has never heard of half the world. Ebvery few weeks the Chinese call them up and tell them they've changed the name of their capital again and they fall for it every time. They have to look up everything and come up with crazy pronunciations and places that don't even exist like Torino, Italy. They hasd an olynmpics in Turin some years back and I didn't know it till years after the fact. There's a place called Torino, I'Italia which is the same place as Turin, Italy if you're an English sopeaker. But these nit wits can't speak English at all except with multiple speech impediments and an American education so they tried to say "Torino, Italy". I can't speak for CannerCoins but I think it's accurate to say Canadians are our best friends in the world though sometimes it's hard to imagine why, eh? Thank you for serving and I a big fan of patriotism especially among Americans.
I thank you for your clarification and do respect you. Further more I apologize for getting angry. I feel very strongly that it is anyones duty from any Country to protect their nation from any unjust or untrue assault even if only verbal.
