[QUOTE="Hiddendragon, post: 1480212, member: 25270"]It's hard for me to get to my local coin store because they close at 6 p.m. and I get home about 6:30, but today we got off from work at noon so I made a trip. I'm sure glad I did. They had a book of world coins they had bought off of someone and they gave it to me to look at when I asked to see world coins. It was a mix of common coins along with some that I've never seen before. I didn't know what they were going to charge me so at first I was kind of hesitant with what I picked out, but when they just charged me 50 cents apiece, I went back for seconds. I'm still wishing I had bought others. I like coins from obscure places and places that no longer exist, which is why most of these stick out to me. The guys at this store don't collect world coins so I got some great deals. Among the coins I got:

1903 Guadaloupe 50 centimes - Valued at $35 in VF

1926 Greenland 25 and 50 ore - $7 and $9.50 in VF. These always sell for high prices on eBay and I always wanted one because it has a polar bear on it, and you may have guessed I like polar bears.

1939 Albania 1 lek Italian occupation - $2.50 in VF. I like wartime issues like this.

1931 Estonia 10 senti - $2 in F

1906-11 Hyderabad 1/2 anna - date uncertain, not worth a lot but unusual.

1941 Lebanon 2 1/2 piastres emergency coinage - $1.50

1913 Montenegro 2 pare - $4.

1937 Mongolia 2 mongo - $3.50

1935 San Marino 10 centesimi - $1.50

1937 Sarawak 1 cent - $1.50

1937 Euzkadi (Spain) 1 and 2 pesetas - $2.50 and $3.

1918 Tibet 5 skar - $2.

1956 Togo 5 francs - $6.

1913 Malta (Britain) 1/3 farthing - $2.50

1891 German East Africa 1 pesa - $1.

1866 Papal States 1 lira - $4.

1891 British North Borneo 1/2 cent - $6.

1897 S. Africa 1 shilling - $4.

1898 E.
