Please show the entire coin.. Front and back. And the year. Always do this in all your threads.

By looking at the entire coin you can find clues such as environmental damage, alterations done after it left the mint, circulation wear, etc.
These things can explain a lot of what's going on.

From these images we can see that it's just a damaged and stained cent.

Where? Etsy? Ebay? Many seller there no nothing about true mint errors. They fool others and fool themselves. That's why you always need to ask us first.

Unfortunately your cent is all damage and only worth 1 Cent.

But it is informative for the OP. And for anyone else that wants to learn by looking for clues.

Guys---i accept its not the prettiest but it is a variety-I have learned to look at a coin in a different way since becoming a member--I mean I thought I had a clad-less quarter until running into paddyman but I rather learn than fantasize--and his input is much appreciated-my thing is that once a few turn up then it's safe to say it happened at the mint

No it is not a variety. It is just damage to the plating

Please provide proof that other "crying Lincolns" exist.

Ok -look at eBay and compare to mines---what are the chances the damage looks alike

Ebay is a big place, where would we find these? Tried looking for "crying Lincoln", nothing.
