I got cheated on CT buy/sell

I’ve never tried it here. I did 2 buys on the CU forum, both were a disaster. The second involved a BST forum favorite and self proclaimed coin expert in the biz. He didn’t ship my purchase, no response to any of my customer service inquiries. Then I remembered the PM function. I sent him a PM, told him he sucks. He told his Mama and my 10 year run was over.

You can't say there isn't a big warning stickied at the top of that forum. It's always at your own risk. Unfortunate to hear though.

 

I’ve sold some coins here. Deals went smoothly and I met some good folks to boot!

There are some whistle farts on CU such as the member who told me to mail the coin to a PO Box and then he’d decide whether he wanted to buy it. But I met a good fellow in another CU sale that went well.

 

I've had many deals on the CU forum; all have gone well.

 

I have tried to respond to a listing for somebody selling a coin but some wording at the bottom of the listing said I have insufficient privileges. Could somebody please explain it to me.

 

No one can reply on for sale posts (besides mods). If you want to buy something, you have to send that person a message on here. That's the way it has been as long as I can recall.

I have always had good luck buying here. I had no issues selling, I am just loathe to say "good luck" since I never WANTED to sell. Never bring your wife to a coin deal and walk away with 550 coins. She will REMEMBER when you promise her to sell off extras.
