I found this penny at work,,was wondering if it is worth anything

The OP wanted confirmation of their beliefs, and didn't get the answer that would say 'you have won $1 Million'. So now it's going to 'a professional'. Not the first time (or the last) that scenario will have been acted out on CT. SMH

The funniest one was about 6-8 weeks ago, when the OP got a response from Fred W. telling them the coin wasn't real (I think it was a 1943 Copper cent claim). They replied that they were going to show the coin to an expert. .

 

I think the use of the phrase " going to take it to a professional ( certified) dealer " is a way to leave with a put down , that is usually not a ban type of response they would really like to make. Most are probably somewhat sheepish they even thought so, but worth a try due to the ignorance and shyster tolerant Youtube. I use the electronic. home, and automotive videos myself, but they are not trying to tell me my 2000 Taco is worth $100,000. Everybody who answers often enough will eventually be a victim, even moderators Jim

 

I give Fred a ton of credit for holding his keys, even though he probably gets it also in his profession. Jim
