I am not sure why a seller being a collector versus a dealer is relevant to price when selling on eBay. Also, the assertion that this seller's prices are high is curious to me since his prices appear to be within range. As for the coin in this thread, I ran a search on eBay of "1853 o Seated Liberty Silver Half Dollar g," and four listings came up:

    $44.95 + 5.95 shipping= $50.90 (seller subject of this thread)
    $52.00 free shipping= $52.00
    $53.00 free shipping= $53.00
    $51.30 + 2.49 shipping= $53.79

The seller who is the subject of this thread not only had the lowest price but his coin was noticeably better in grade than the other three. Physics-fan3.14 correctly asked: "What am I missing?" Not missing anything-this thread did not expose a seller listing a coin at an unfair price.
