I wanted to start a seperate thread from the "LB Coin show BLOG" to highlight what for me, at least was an incredibe experience in terms of the social aspect. I was gonna title this "AJ's the MAN" and maybe I should have but there were actually so many awesome people I met and was blessed to learn from.

*** First met up with Snaz, Magman and Acanthite. I felt like they waited for me (was running a little late) and they were tired as they had been there all day. Felt humbled that these guys would stick around, probably quite tired after being at the show all day and driving a bunch. Wow, meeting these guys was awesome. So cool and friendly. It's so different to meet someone in person you have only known by an online relationship.

***Went to Charmy and Rick Snow's table, but loitterd moislty at Charmy's (little more in my price ranges). These two are like the coin gods. Learned a lot and picked out some coins I would come back and get on Sat. Met up with Snaz and the others and we eat at Rockbottom across the street and get to meet AJ. Guy is larger than life. Total cool cat- quite a character. I would say he is Magnanamous. Good word. He brings this group of guys/gals together and we all sit down where we couldn't quite fit (crowded place). Rick Snow and Charmy and friends show up and we get to sit around and talk coins for hours over a couple of beers with these legends. I was lucky enough to sneak in next to Rick Snow, quite a humble guy, and pick his brain and here some great old time stories. AJ was the ring leader and he really made all this happen. I can't say enough good things about him.

*** After several hours we go back to this cool B&B that everyone is the crew is staying at and everybody plays poker. I don't know how to play(sad I know), but got to hang out anyway and talk some more. Left early but the gang had a lot of fun. I guess Snaz did well and AJ got fried. That's the word on the street.

*** Came back today and hung out with Acanthite and got some great coins from Charmy and Rick Snow. I was a little tapped out financially by the time I got to Rick but the least I could do was buy a coin -a $175.00 "low end" 1901 MS 65 RB IHC with his Eagle Eye Photo Seal- this guy has some amazing coins like 1856 PF 65's, etc... Bought one of his books and sat with him and soaked up some knowledge.

*** Hung out with Acanthite the rest of the day til we left.

Overall impression: PRICELESS. Best coin experience I have ever had in my life. I have to thank CT for this or I would never have met such cool people. Snaz, is a particularly cool guy and it's killer to see youg guys like him and Magman into coins.

PS- cracked out my S VDB per the advice of everyone and will get it to tone a little more naturally. I can't quit that coin.:hail:
