It is impossible to tell from the image which one it is. it looks to have been nigh on obliterated in which case the grade is below VG.</p><p><br /></p><p>For 1855 dated coins of this type the mint mark is also crucial to the value. This is a letter&nbsp; (or two letters) just below the eagle. Your one looks to be a `D&#039;&nbsp; but it could also be a `BB&#039;.&nbsp; Perhaps you might like to check it out (?).</p><p><br /></p><p>IF your coin is a `D&#039;, and IF the privy mark is a dogs head, then your coin might be worth about $10 to a collector. If however it is a `D&#039;&nbsp; but an anchor, then it is worth about $1.&nbsp; If the mint mark is `BB&#039; it doesn&#039;t really matter about the privy mark...it&#039;s about $1 value at best.
