Some of us like to "name our babies" whenever we happen to find something unusual. Sometimes it's "Spiked Head" or "Crackhead" or "Speared Buffalo" or "Spitting Eagle". So, let's hear about some of the other interesting names that you have used to christen your babies along with photos of them. I'll begin! Lincoln's Purse Chris
Error coins are fun, and can be pretty unusual. Here are some of my favorites... Veiled Susan Double Eyed Washington (please see the Washington on the right) Commonwealth with Basketball
Wow. I wonder how these coins are passed around without being noticed. We inherited some coins and stamps from my wife’s Mom who was a bank clerk. She would keep anything unusual or worth something . Lots of silver. I assume she replaced with her own funds..?? Anyway I never cared about the art (?) of money before but now carry a loop everywhere. Still ignorant but having fun. You guys have me intimidated. Other day was disappointed to find my Moneta is fake.
Error/variety collectors are considered a niche group. But some of us are very dedicated to this so we look closely and carefully at all our change and tend to roll search a lot. Half dollars are rarely encountered in commerce anymore so I love to see the look on cashiers eyes when I use them to pay for goods. It's always like "WOW dude, have never seen these before. I'm saving these".
