I own a small Pool Room just outside of Philadelphia. A few weeks ago, a good customer of mine came in to play some pool. He came up to the counter to pay me, He owed me $20.00 and his debit card wouldn't work for some reason. He said, "I will be back, I promise, I have to run home to get some $". He was only 18 and I trusted him due to the fact he frequents my establishment once or twice a week. Well, he came back about 2 hours later and handed me 9 Presidential Dollar coins, and 11 ASE's. He said, "thats $20.00 right"? "were good"? Well Up until June of 2011, Even I really didn't know much about ASE's until my father passed and left me some goodies.

After a minute of thinking, I asked him where he got the coins from. He told me his father gave them to him for an emergency and he didn't want me to think he was not gonna pay because he liked coming in to play pool and to him that was an emergency. I handed the coins back to him, told him what they were worth and told him to put them back and pay me later.

The next day, him and his parents came in to pay for his time. He handed me the $20.00 bill for his time and an extra $20.00 for being honest and giving his kid back the coins. Needless to say, I told him I couldn't keep the $20.00 and told him my Fathers story about how I came into a collection and how I had a boat load of ASE's already. He just smiled and walked out.

I guess my reward came the next day, when I opened my pool hall up and in my mailbox was a printed out thank you letter and a Circulated ASE in a small envelope.

To this day, I have been in business for 2 years and this is the first time anyone has tried to pay with silver.
